HOUSE RULES

What you need to know

Staying in a hostel has great advantages:
It's CHEAP! You can meet people and even make friends. But you also need to know how a hostel works and be aware of the rules and good manners to have a good relationship with the other guests.

To get along well with everyone at the hostel, here's what's important:

-Respect check-in/check-out times. As well as silence hours.
-Do not bring strangers from outside to the hostel
-Find out which hostel services are paid and which are free
-Don't embarrass yourself: no drugs, excessive alcohol or inappropriate behavior allowed
-If any problem occurs during your stay, please report it immediately to reception or management.
-In a shared dormitory, remember: everyone wants peace and a good night's sleep!
-Respect lights out and nighttime hours in shared dormitories
-Don't slam the bedroom door or keep opening and closing it all the time.
-When leaving the room, always take your key with you, even to go to the bathroom.
-Do not talk loudly while others are sleeping, neither to other people nor on a cell phone.
-Don't set your alarm to snooze every 5 minutes.
-Don't bring drinks or food, but a bottle of water at night is fine.
-Don't sleep naked or walk around the shared dorm naked.
-Don't scatter your things on the floor
-Do not turn off the fan or air conditioning without everyone's consent.
-Don't leave your headphones on full blast, in silence any noise propagates
-Try not to make noise with plastic bags at night, they are annoying
-Take care of your belongings and don't borrow anything without asking.
-Don't dominate all the sockets in the shared room
-Try not to keep opening your suitcase all the time to get your clothes, separate what you are going to use beforehand
-Dirty or smelly shoes should be kept away from bedrooms.
-Did you arrive sweaty or dirty from an adventure trip? Take a shower!
-Don't turn your bunk bed into a clothesline either.
-Dormitories are not places for sexual practices. That's what private rooms are for!

Sharing the bathroom with strangers!

Yes, you need to know how a hostel bathroom works, especially if it is going to be shared with other guests.

For a good coexistence with everyone in the shared bathroom, see what is important:

» The bathroom is not just yours. Enjoy your shower, but don't forget that other people may be in line.

» The bathroom is not a spa or a beauty salon. You can finish getting ready in the bedroom.

» Don’t flood the area outside the shower. If it gets too wet, dry it off!

» Your hair in the drain, or on the shower wall, must be removed by you!

» Don’t forget to always take your toiletry bag and towel with you to the shower, as well as your clothes.

» Leave everything in order for the next person to use the bathroom: sink, toilet and shower.

» Avoid going out wrapped in a towel and wandering around the hostel corridors.

Shared kitchen: what you need to know to use it

There's nothing better than a hostel with a shared kitchen! But you need to know how the hostel kitchen works, what equipment it offers and when it can be used.

For a good coexistence with everyone in the shared kitchen, see what is important:

» Know the rules for using the kitchen.

» Identify your food in the refrigerator with labels.

» Dirty? Cleaned!

» Other people's food is not yours unless they offer it to you!
